Only 40 kms (28 miles) south of Bcn which means around a 45 minutes drive on a toll  highway.

The Penedes county is known for it´s Cava production, white grapes varieties predominate, although the region also produces some highly regarded oak-aged reds. Wine growing is carried out at over 300 wineries where they produce 70% of the Spanish sparkling wines,  some 200 million bottles annually.

We´ll visit the Codorniu Cellars, they have more than 500 years of history. The cellars were declared National Artisitc Historical Monument and are one of the finest examples of Modernist archirecture.

Just 34 kms (21miles) away , a 30 minutes drive on a highway.

Sitges with its year-around mild climate due to its geographical position sheltered by the Garraf mountains, allows to enjoy all kind of outdoor activities almost every day of the year.

Four kilometers of beach and a delightful sea-promenade, together with a lovely old town full of historical and architectural curiosities make of Sitges a “Must See “place.

Upon arrival, will do a walking tour along the sea-front promenade featuring turn of the 20th century colonial mansions to reach the old town where one can see the imprints history has left in its wake: remains of the old wall, the cannon mounted in the Bastion, museums, fishermen houses …

You´ll have some free time to enjoy sunbathing, bathing, shopping, take a bite … or visiting the Mar I Cel Museum.
